Hi!

Welcome to my open journal! Together let’s discover the joy of being known.

FREE LOVE

FREE LOVE

I am daily finding myself caught between varying opinions.  Even in my closest circles with my most comfortable friends I am finding how much we can all see the same things so differently.

In the last hours of Jesus life He found Himself hanging between two opinions.

Both men witnessed the same moment in history from ten feet above ground yet they each saw their situation (and the man between them) so contrastingly.

One concluded his opinion on appearances and feelings. He saw a bloody man and didn’t recognize the King.  Blinded by the terror of death, inside of himself, he didn’t recognize the source of Life next to him.

The other concluded his opinion through observation.  He wasn’t afraid to change his mind.  In Matthew 27 he taunted and insulted Jesus but by Luke 23 he defended Jesus and called Him innocent.

While Jesus was being crucified…

One rebuked Him… and the other rebuked man.  One mocked Him… and the other begged Him.  One called Him Messiah… and the other called Him My Lord.  One heard the noise of the nails and the other heard the heart of the man…

“Father forgive them…”

“Father forgive them…”

“Father forgive THEM…”

Only one opinion matters.

The mind of Christ.

His point of view is always YOU.

His way of thinking is focusing on you even during his pain.

He does not try to defend, correct, persuade or convince you of truth.  Instead Truth Himself submits, sacrifices and surrenders in your best interest.

He’s OK with you thinking differently than Him.  He says, “Give me your heart first, then I can share with you all my thoughts”… Don’t be surprised they are ALL about YOU!!

Christ was centered between two opinions, but the souls of those opinions were the center of His attention.

HIS LOVE IS FREE so that we can be too.
